Director of Quality Assurance

Vivian Molloy B.A. (Mod), H.Dip, MA (Ed.) is a graduate of Trinity College, Carlow IT and Mary Immaculate College. Vivian completed a Masters in ‘Education and Wellbeing of the Older Person’. Vivian worked in residential care in both frontline and management capacities for nine years before spearheading the development of Social Care Training Ireland as Training and Practice Manager, and simultaneously achieving and managing the ISO 9001 accredited Auditing Department of Daffodil Care Services. Vivian has facilitated Supervision sessions for social care workers, managers and directors. He has developed and delivered various training courses to staff internally and external companies nationwide, including Child Protection, Leadership and Change Management, Professional Supervision, Culture and Communication, and Guidance on Quality Documentation Procedures.


Business and Training Manager

Jennifer Hayes B.A. (Hons) is a graduate of Waterford Institute of Technology with an Level 8 Honours Degree in Applied Social Studies in Social Care. Jennifer also received a National Certificate in Business Studies from Carlow Institute of Technology. Jennifer's background is in residential care. Jennifer has been a trainer with Social Care Training Ireland since 2011, delivering Therapeutic Crisis Intervention in an associate trainer capacity and Occupational First Aid along with many other of our individually tailored courses. Jennifer was appointed as Business and Training Manager in April 2015, where she oversees the day to day running of the company in addition to long-term strategy development.



Carol Mythen BA (Hons) is a graduate of Waterford Institute of Technology with a Degree in Applied Social Studies in Social Care. Her background is in Social Care with over 20 years’ experience managing Child Protection units and working with adults with Intellectual and physical disabilities. Carol was a Service manager and was involved in the setting up special care units and overseeing several outreach and homecare projects. Carol also has a Certificate in Counselling skills from the University of Ulster.  Carol is an Instructor in Manual handling, Fire Safety, First Aid Response and CFR and TCI, while also delivering many of our other individually tailored courses.


Training Coordinator

Mary Hutton LLB BA.(Hons) is a graduate of Carlow Institute of Technology with an honours Degree in Law.  Her background is in administration, scheduling, customer support and satisfaction progressing to a Sales & Marketing Executive and is skilled in marketing, leadership and sales.  Mary’s previous background was in Childcare, where she completed her Fetac Level 5 in Childcare along with Child Protection, she was also involved in the start-up of a new childcare facility. 



Bernie Breen, B.A. (Hons) is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology in ‘Applied Social Care’. Bernie qualified with Cornell University, Colorado, USA in March 2011 as an Associate Trainer in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and secured her Professional Certification in March 2014. Bernie worked in social care for thirteen years with children, teenagers and over eighteens in various roles, including managing an Aftercare Service for young vulnerable adults leaving a care setting. Bernie also worked with the Travelling Community for nine years within the social care setting and has developed a Cultural Awareness training programme to develop teams in cultural competency in working with ethnic groups. Bernie recently completed a Level 7 Supervision course in Carlow IT and developed our External Supervision service. Bernie has also completed STORM® Skills Self-Harm training and is ASIST trained.



Dolores Martin B.A. (Hons), MA graduated from Carlow Institute of Technology Carlow with a honours degree in ‘Social Studies and Social Care’ and Masters in ‘Child, Youth and Family Studies’. Dolores worked as a social care worker for seven years working with teenagers in a variety of settings and with over eighteens in an aftercare setting. Dolores sat on the board of Wexford County Childcare Committee as Parents Representative for eight years. In 2014, Dolores completed facilitator training in Parents Plus and The Strengthening Families Programme and has delivered Parenting Programmes to Parents of children in the care system or at risk of entering the care system.  In 2014, Dolores began working with Social Care Training Ireland and is an Associate Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Trainer. Dolores completed a level 7 course in Supervision in 2016. She has developed a range of other courses including Managing Challenging Behaviour, Working with Trauma and Anti-Bullying.
