New Location in Tullamore, Offaly

We will now be delivering our Public courses in the Midlands at the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore, Offaly

22nd November we have our ever popular Report Writing course, this course is for anyone that is responsible for the recording of information or report writing. Report writing is a complex task requiring good understanding and judgement, empathy, sensitivity, and good written communication skills. Reports or documents may be to inform, to record or to persuade. Writing reports is a similar process to assessment; the person writing the report gathers information, organises and logically presents information, and concludes. The Freedom of Information Act 2014 and the Data Protection Acts 1998 and 2003 are important components of the training and will be explored in detail throughout.

22nd January 2019  Child Protection Training - this training will provide participants with a broad understanding of child protection issues from understanding the nature of abuse to development of appropriate recording and reporting procedures and policies. It will include the National 2011 Children First Guidelines as well as exploring the broader picture of child protection. The combination of the Children First: National Guidance 2011, as the comprehensive reference document, and a practical handbook to key actions for front-line practitioners will deliver a sound footing for national consistency in our approach to child protection.
